So I finally paid off my school loan. I can't find the exact number right now, but including the ridiculous amount of interest I paid somewhere between $36,000 and $38,000. That's a lot of money. Took about five years. It's amazing to have that done with, no more worrying about it or how I'm going to come up with the moneys... I'd like to enjoy it, but I think instead it's just going to be savings savings time for other important things. Sad, but at least I'm saving up for it and not under the weight of a loan. Good things. Celebrate!

To top it all off, I found a gas station that sells Jones Soda in Winchester this morning.

Soo I passed the Security+ exam that I mentioned a while back. Thank goodness for that. Now I get to keep my job yay. I memorized the questions/answers I had using that practice exam thing, but the company switched all the questions up the weekend before I took the test I guess. It was sketchy, and terrifying, but in the end I guess the real test was similar enough that I still passed. Victory! No more studying.

It did make me think more about school though.. I will need to have some sort of degree eventually to continue with my career, or at least to make it a lot easier to progress. It doesn't matter what the degree is in, it's just important to employers that you can focus on something (anything) for such a long period of time without giving up (or something?). So I decided art degree! Then chastity says to me "well it might not matter what degree you have now, but what if in five years they start requiring a computer related degree instead?"

And then my heart broke. She's right, anything can happen really. But we'll see. I don't know if I can go to computer schoolins for four years. I work on computers because I can figure them out. I take art and music classes because I find them interesting. This does not work the other way around. Hmm.

  • Your pictures for the day.

I woke up at 6:00am on a Saturday :/  We watched FLCL again last week. That show probably gets better each time. May be my second favorite, if not my number one, anime.

  • I have to pass the CompTIA Security+ certification test by the end of May to keep my job.

So, I bought this Security+ study test thing. Basically it's all of the possible 260 questions that are on the real certification test, but when you take it in the real world you only have to bother with 90 of them. I'm not sure how it's legal to give you the exact questions and answers that are on the real test, but my guess is that the people that make the study guide are either paying the CompTIA people, or they ARE THE SAME PEOPLE and it's a conspiracy. Regardless it was $135 (cause I finds a coupon for $15 off wootwoot) and now I have 260 questions to memorize. Whew. It shouldn't be too bad, I just have to be sure and schedule my exam for a date before they change up the questions, which happens every few months.

I haves the headache this morning. And I kinda want a phone that allows me to customize it more. I get bored of the same thing all the time, and the iPhone software has basically looked the same since it first came out. I jailbroke the thing recently, so I can do whatever I want and tell Apple to suck it... but now it runs slowly, and several of my apps crash as soon as I open them so I'll be going back to normal soon. Guess Apple wins this time. Unless I go rouge and get an Android or WP7. I sounds like such a tool to myself right now, good day :P

*Update* So I uninstalled this one thinger on my phone, and it seems to have been the issue. Now it's running more normal and doesn't crash constantly. Whew.
